Since taking the Chinese smartphone market by storm, Beijing-based Xiaomi has been steadily rolling out a variety of other tech goodies, among them the Mi Band fitness tracker and Mi Headphones. However, at 72g, the Yi is considerably lighter than the Hero, which tips the scales at 111g. The GoPro Hero, on the other hand, shoots 5-megapixel images and records 1080p video at 30fps, or 720p video at 60fps. Both cameras come with built-in Wi-Fi for transferring files, and can be controlled using their respective companion apps.The Russian language video with English subtitle shows the same specs revealed by PetaPixel. It will cost enthusiasts only about $200. The much-rumored Hero 4 will reportedly have an even higher price tag of $499, according to Stifel analyst Jim Duffy. GoPro's affordable camera will come with a non-removable, rugged waterproof case, 2.5 hours of battery life, and a built-in microphone. Note that Rozetked is the same Russian tipster who managed to get their hands on the actual iPhone 6 more than a week before it hit the stores.  However, the latest addition to its growing range of products is surely the most intriguing yet – a tasty-looking action camera with specs that could give GoPro’s entry-level Hero device a run for its money. Extras include mounts for attaching the camera to your unsuspecting cat, or to your bicycle helmet if your pet rumbles you and refuses to comply. Xiaomi’s intriguing Yi Camera incorporates a 16-megapixel Sony image sensor and can record 1080p video at 60fps. Now Gizmodo has obtained a leaked video of GoPro's budget camera from Russian leaker Rozetked. The low-cost GoPro Hero has the same specs on the inside as the old GoPro Hero 3 White Edition. PetaPixel recently reported that the low-priced camera will arrive without the fancier bells and whistles of its bigger siblings.  |
