Hero 3 gopro
All Hero 3 cameras are compatible with the older GoPro mounting accessories and older generation BacPacs. We have yet to get any of the new Hero 3 cameras in, but we’ll let everyone know once we do. Thru years of research we finally have changed lenses on the GoPro HD, HD2, HD3 & 3+ cameras and have a wide variety of lenses great for many applications!
Our camera mods have been featured on these shows: Ghost Hunters, Chasing Bigfoot, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, and many more.
These pictures below show the GoPro 2 camera installed with our varifocal 2.8-12mm (adjustable zoom) lens. It may seem like it was only yesterday, but it has been a year since GoPro introduced the Hero 3. The QuickClip enables ultra-compact, low-profile mounting to baseball hats, belts and other objects ranging in thickness from 3mm to 10mm. Use the optional opposable neck to achieve a wide range of camera positioning and adjustability.
They did a pretty good job of keeping things under wraps, even though there was some forum buzz of a potential release. Guys, your smart phones will be great as party cameras and for shooting your egopics for facebook and instagram. Saw some footage of guys at work riding the bike park and it made me wish I could’ve joined them that weekend. Downtubes Store more than Bottles with Redesigned Specialized Stumpjumper FSR 650b and 29 Of all of the bikes in the Specialized line up, the Stumpjumper is perhaps the most well known….
If you own right to any of the images, and do not wish them to appear here, please contact us and they will be promptly removed.
Not one to sit back and relax, GoPro is at it again with a new camera that is smaller, lighter, and packs a punch with improved features. As a consumer, the speed at which new models come out leaves me unable to make a purchase…much like trying to catch a moving train.
The new 3+housing is 20% smaller than the 3, yet it manages 30% better battery life which when combined with a new lens and better programming, means that Hero 3 you just bought may look a little less awesome right about now. The Hero 3+ comes in a Black and Silver edition and replaces the previous top 2 tiers from GoPro. These pictures below show the original camera installed with our varifocal 2.8-12mm (adjustable zoom) lens. The worlds first modified GoPro 3+ camera with your choice of lens (standard or infrared) installed! It is extremely easy to control all the camera settings through your phone and, for most video settings, view ~1 second delayed – live footage through the app on your phone. The good news is that if you have a Hero 3, you already have one of the better cameras on the market, but if you want the latest, check it out after the break.
The resolution and frame rates are twice as good as those of previous GoPro models (1440p at 48 fps, 1080p at 60 fps, or 720p at 120 fps).
GoPro also included improvements to low light video quality, which is twice as good for the Black Edition. The Silver Edition doesn’t include the WiFi remote, but users can use the GoPro App to control it with their smart phones (just like on the White Edition.) It also comes with an extra 3-way pivot arm mount that’s not included with the White Edition. Lenses now available without IR Lens Filter so you can record at night in pitch black conditions!!
It has been my experience that if you manage the battery usage by turning the camera off while not recording you have no problem filling over 30 GB of cards with one battery pack.

The latest GoPro ad video is stunning as usual, and reminds us that our action camera footage will never come close to being that good. All the guys who post videos of the view from their bars touring and slow trail riding are wholly uninteresting to me. The Black Edition, available in adventure, motorsports, or surf versions, shoots in an impressive cinema-quality resolution. After a hint on the company’s Facebook, GoPro shared some big news last night: the release of the much anticipated GoPro HD Hero 3! The displayed shipping price is for '1' GoPro 3+ Plus Black Modified Lens IR Camera (Infrared).
However, since the new Hero 3 cameras are a new shape, they’ll require Hero 3 specific wrist, skeleton, and 3D housings.
The 3+ is well worth the money, hasn’t crashed on me once through offroading, skiing, hiking, longboarding, and more. These pictures below show the GoPro 3 camera installed with our 5.4mm lens with and without the IR ring.
The camera takes significantly better pictures too, pumping out 12MP pictures at 30 fps bursts.
I wonder when all the cam-consumers are going to realize that wobbly POV footage of a weekend warrior shredding the groomers in Vail is not interesting and that for most people a Go pro is simply a waste of money. The WiFi remote is not included with the White Edition, however users can still control the camera with their smarts phones by using the GoPro App. Enjoy all the footage after the day is done to save the battery of your camera during the day and try to take awesome footage. All editions of the new camera boast a new slimmer design (30% smaller and 20% lighter), improved audio capturing systems, an improved lens, and built in WiFi. Perfect for kids ages 3+, the Junior Chest Harness is great for capturing immersive footage of a child’s world from their perspective—from skiing and skateboarding to slides and swings.
This is the base model, which shoots at a max of 1080p at 30 fps and takes 5 MP pictures at a rate of 3 fps. Pretty bummed that the Hero 3 was a turd and instead of a fix, they just released a new one. I got a Hero 3 black edition and it locks up regularly requiring the battery to be removed. Jaws securely grips irregular shapes and super slim objects thanks to its innovative design. To go along with the new cameras, GoPro also introduced a few new mounts like the Jaws Flex Clamp above.
These features add an extra hundred bucks to the price, making the Silver Edition retail for $299.99.
I can tell you from personal experience that catching that 15 seconds of your buddy eating dirt all over your local run is completely worth the $ and the hours of useless footage.
