He is available for both private and group seminars for Final Cut Pro and leads underwater filming expeditions and African safaris with upcoming excursions to the Cocos Islands, Costa Rica, and Hawaii.Since we don’t have the resources to build custom software to process these shots we have to do this manually. Your firmware is now fully installed and you can erase the Firmware.bin file from your SD card. The goal of this project is to produce the best quality timeslice footage on a super portable rig with very little money. In turn, the new monitor makes going through the menu settings much easier and more logical. First, you do need to complete a firmware upgrade which is downloadable from the GoPro website. The only problem with every one that I have seen is that creating a true composition when shooting with them was impossible in that you could only aim and hope that the composition was good. But i was happy with the sketchy transition between each cameras, I slowed down the shots but I get too much arctifacts with twixtor !! Now, with the GoPro in hand press the top shutter button and hold it there while you press the front power button once. Once in the settings menu press the power button to scroll through until you get to the LCD Auto Power Setting. GoPro has listened to its widely growing audience and has now produced a very serviceable monitor which provides both decent quality viewing and enables you to quickly set up your shots and create a composition to your liking. In addition to the automated software the pros are using I believe they are also using software to interpolate frames as well to further smooth it out. I synced my 6 videos in after effect, but then, I definitly don’t figure out how to switch from one to another with a smooth transition. Jeff Campbell at Ambarella (the company responsible for the imaging chip inside GoPro cameras) has been nice enough to send me a few cameras for my experiments. I think the biggest issue I have with using GoPro Hero cameras with this is their super wide angle. Carolina last year, I was stunned by its size and, even though it was a standard definition model, by its quality. Keep in mind that the monitor now draws more power from the GoPro HERO HD’s battery which can be recharged by simply connecting the supplied USB cable to your desktop or laptop. Aside from aligning cameras as evenly as possible you definitely want to slate(clapper) the shot before your action. The GoPro HERO HD came, depending upon your choice of set-up with a standard clear housing or a waterproof housing for those who wanted to use it while snorkeling or scuba diving. In addition to the Hero2’s improved image quality, its white balance and exposure will differ and will not match the other models. The GoPro HERO HD and new LCD BacPac monitor provides settings for an Upside Down Mode, a Live Feed Out direct to your monitor or TV for instant viewing, and a Live Feed On-Screen Status display of your recording status and battery life. GoPro LCD bac pacs would drain too much battery, increase the cost and most importantly not be as advantageous as seeing all of the shots in succession on one screen.  |
