That dog walk video looks pretty good, gives me an idea for an interesting stress test for your gimbal. I'm going to put together a circle light this week and then start playing with the focus issues.Just watch the flares with a circle light with the Gopro being fish eyed. On a day on the snow recently they were only lasting about twenty minutes (might be a temperature issue) just a couple of runs and i was having to put new batteries in. I just scored this, brand new, i collect cameras (have 47 in all) so i'll probably not use it much since i have a hero 1 and 3, but i figured it would make a nice addition to my collection. Hello,It is the first time i post in this forum, I would like to show our hand Gopro 3axis giro-stabilizer project.We have experience with multicopter aerial video and gyrostabilized Gopros for multicopters, this project is a bit different!I also publish a video we've done with the first prototype, initially we made a 2-axis but we were not happy with result, there are a lot of difference from 2 axis to full 3 axis stabilization. I can only assume that some people have nothing better to do than to post comments that no one else cares to read. I've actually purchased a quad copter from these guys (Quaternium) which has a 2 axis gimbal integrated into it - and while I don't have it flying around yet, I will say that I'm very impressed with their design and engineering, top notch. Our latest version use a non audible frequency so it would be suitable for video with audio. Maybe put a little hood over the lens and crop the vignette out in post.I use a small piece of conduit painted flat black, just use a bigger one on the wide and build the ring light to fit over and behind the conduit. Its low light capability is terrible, and any camera shake is very noticeable at times, but for $150.00, the durability is amazing. I have an atc5k it is pretty good picture quality wise and with the screen you can set it up perfectly very quickly but and a BIG BUT the batteries are only supposed to last an hour and they don't even achieve that. I also noticed (maybe everyone already knows this) that the more the camera moves, the more battery power it uses. I am going to try some panasonic rechargables 2400uA hopefully they will add some recording time. I used a chesty on my mums dog and it was really quite smooth.Its an amazing looking piece of kit.  |
